Reader photos..

I love getting e-mails from readers with photos of their gardens.. These just arrived from Pete in NB and I thought I'd share them with you.. As you can see, Pete is growing pole beans - look at the amount of blooms, onions, poppies, giant cabbage and more! If you look closely at the giant cabbage, you'll see a bottle nearby, which offers a sense of scale.. these massive veggies get HUGE! I can't wait to see the final size of the cabbage at the end of summer..

Enjoy!

  1. thanks for posting them Niki! For anyone thats interested, the cabbage is running in the 50 inch or more mark and the giant onions I am growing are really doing great and starting to make bulbs which is good for this time of year and should be able to fill 2 bushel baskets hopefully. They are so great on hamburgers(if you are a meat eater)and remind me of A&W for flavour! The pole beans are easily identified as scarlet runners and have topped the poles already(10 feet)! Sadly I haven't pollinated a pumpkin yet but should be there in a few days.It is from a seed that was 843 pounds!
